Well, I went ahead and posted on ff.net a little ficlet I wrote a few weeks ago for that short LJ prompt challenge that was going around. It can be found here.
I figured it was a good length and substantial enough, so why not? I made a few slight adjustments, added a sentence here or there (mainly to reach the 1000 word count, just for kicks.)
I'm not posting the other one about Peter, Edmund and their encounter with the Nelian sisters... I'd rather save that one until after the Big Bang one is over and done with!
And speaking of the Big Bang... I cannot wait. I'm holding myself back from working too much on my WIP, even though I know that if I pounded out another 20K before the official sign-ups, I'd still could easily meet the additional 20K required. Perhaps I'm waiting for the prompts? Though most of it is planned out in outline form, there are plenty of blank spots that someone else's prompt could easily slip into.

Date: 2011-10-13 08:15 pm (UTC)Besides, I've been toying with the idea of a Harry Potter/Narnia crossover fic for literally aaaaages, and I think I'm going to finally write it using the Big Bang as an excuse. :D

Date: 2011-10-13 10:12 pm (UTC)I started panicking when I was going through my notes on this story... I have 20K written already, and I still have SO much to cover. Intimidation Central, why did I do this to myself? I have zero experience of writing things at any length. I'm a numbers girl!
I was taking a look at one of the scenes that's about, say, 60-75% done, and I checked the word count. It's almost 3000. And this is one scene out of TWENTY-TWO that I have outlined. Oh, Edmund, why are you so entertaining to write...
